The apartment left overall fine impression, underlined by location and rooms. Amiable staff ensured a perfect 10/10 stay at value for money. Room with a comfy bed as well as a good view. Breakfast was light and included jam, fruit and butter. Vews on the mountains. A family restaurant offered local meals.

We had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse in Bromo. The location was perfect - nestled in a quiet spot with picturesque surroundings. The owner, Aji, was incredibly helpful and quick to respond to our queries via WhatsApp. He organized transportation for us from the train station and even helped us arrange last-minute transportation to Mount Bromo at a great price. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful large window that provided stunning views. We also had access to the kitchen and dining room, which was a nice bonus. the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming.
There was nothing we didn't like about our stay.

our stay at gubuk ndeso homestay exceeded all expectations! the remote location and limited number of rooms created a peaceful and intimate setting. the host went above and beyond to accommodate us, even reopening the property for an extra night. the spacious and clean room, along with access to an outdoor kitchen, made for a comfortable stay. don't miss the amazing local food served at the nearby kitchen!
hiking to the mountain was a bit difficult

Our room had a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom, making it really convenient for our family. The kitchen in the twin room was a great addition, allowing us to prepare our own meals. The cable TV in the double room provided plenty of entertainment options for us. The stovetop in the twin room was perfect for cooking simple meals. Having a tea/coffee maker in the double room made mornings extra cozy.
Personally, we didn't make use of the kitchen in the twin room during our stay.

I stayed at Gubuk Ndeso Homestay in Bromo for 3 nights. The view from our room was superb, and we got great value for money with complimentary drinks and snacks. Pak Aji, the staff member, was incredibly helpful in arranging our sunrise trek, including the jeep. The remote village gave us a refreshing break, immersing us in the authentic culture and the friendliest locals. The spacious and clean room was accompanied by a lovely outdoor kitchen where we could relax with a cup of tea and listen to the sounds of nature.
I can recommend this hotel.

As longer term business travelers, we appreciated the clean and comfortable rooms, warm water, and friendly staff. Aji, the host, went above and beyond to organize our Bromo tour and even prepared breakfast for us after our sunrise trip. He also offered motorbikes for rent.
Felt right at home, no complaints at all.

Relaxing garden: I felt like I was in my own little oasis, surrounded by nature and peace. It was the perfect spot to unwind and forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Taxi driver issue: Miscommunication with arranged taxi.

We stayed at a lovely homestay during our trip to Bromo. the host at Gubuk Ndeso was extremely helpful and arranged all our activities and pickups for us. the rooms were spacious and clean, with warm water in the showers. We also appreciated the laundry service. the homestay is conveniently located near good restaurants and is a short distance from Bromo. We would definitely stay here again. Cons: Couldn't find any faults at all! 😊.

I got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed.
The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved with some more variety.
